Weiping Barrett graduated in China with a BA degree in Statistics. Between 1998 and 2000 she studied with Reed College in England and became fully qualified with ACCA in 2001.

Weiping worked mainly in practice before she joined Micropathology Ltd in 2010 as the company accountant.
