Pete joined Micropathology Ltd in 2018 and will be assisting in the running of the companies IT infrastructure and data processing capabilities.
Pete has worked in the IT sector since college, beginning as a photocopier and network installation engineer. Progressing quickly through the ranks he soon became responsible for overseeing installations and server management at a number of client sites. In addition to being responsible for server and network architecture, his progression led on to him becoming a systems administrator for an international media auditing company. It was here he developed an interest in computer programming and immersed himself in self-learning a range of Microsoft and LAMP technologies.
Since then Pete has worked for 12 years as a senior full stack software developer for a market leading occupational health Software Company. Working to ISO27001 specifications, his team worked on supplying bespoke software solutions for both the public and private sector, as well as blue light customers. Through this role Pete gained experience in applying cutting edge technology to areas such as website and application design, network security, cloud hosting and electronic patient data management. These skills in addition to his background in hardware maintenance make Pete a valuable addition to Micropathology’s technical support team.
