Dr Katie Worrallo graduated from University of Warwick in 2015 with an MBio in Biomedical Science. Upon graduating, Katie briefly worked within the Clinical trials team at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham, working in both the administration side of clinical trial set-up and also processing patient samples in the laboratory. Following this, Katie pursued a PhD at University of Auckland where she studied microbial nitrogen cycling within sediment of estuaries affected by nutrient induced macroalage. After returning to the UK, Katie began working as a senior scientist at the Rosalind Franklin Laboratory performing covid testing, before joining Micropathology Ltd in February 2022 as a Post-doctoral scientist in the virology team.
