Miss Jay Drury BSc (Hons)

Postgraduate Scientist

Jay graduated from the University of Warwick in 2020 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Biomedical Science. For her dissertation, Jay investigated the co-localised expression of carbon dioxide-sensitive connexins with carbon dioxide-permeable aquaporins to explore the potential for a novel carbon dioxide-detecting complex within the mammalian brain. During her studies, Jay also worked part-time as a laboratory assistant for the University of Warwick’s Antimicrobial Screening Facility.

Jay joined Micropathology Ltd as a full-time postgraduate scientist in September 2020 and is involved in the company’s diagnostic microbiology service.
