Ellie graduated with an Honours degree in Biomedical Science with Intercalated year from the University of Warwick in 2018, completing her intercalated year at Micropathology Ltd between 2015-2016 as a laboratory assistant. During her degree, Ellie completed a research project aiming to improve the sensitivity of an MLVA used in the serotyping of Dichelobacter nodosus, a bacterium involved in the manifestation of footrot in sheep, an infectious disease that has great economic impact on the farming industry.
Ellie returned to Micropathology Ltd as a full time postgraduate scientist in June 2018.
