Ella graduated from the University of Warwick in 2022 with an honours degree in BSc Biomedical Science with an Intercalated Year in Industry. Her dissertation topic was focussed around the Neglected Tropical Disease, Leishmaniasis, and the identification of novel small molecule therapeutics which have the capacity to inhibit key protein-protein interactions which make up the parasite’s translation machinery. Her intercalated year was undertaken at Micropathology Ltd from 2020-21, where she was mainly responsible for preforming routine DNA extraction of samples. Ella returned to Micropathology in August 2022 as a post-graduate scientist, working within the microbiology team.
