ÜBER MICROPATHOLOGY LTD.
Unternehmensgeschichte:
Micropathology Ltd wurde im Februar 1995 von Dr.
David Burnett und Dr. Colin Fink als unabhängiges Unternehmen
gegründet. Die Erforschung infektiöser Krankheiten und die
dadurch hervorgerufenen Reaktionen des Körpers sind etablierte
Spezialgebiete. Dies erforderte die Entwicklung von schnellen
Diagnosemethoden, welche sowohl auf menschliche als auch auf
Veterinärkrankheiten angewendet werden können. Das
Unternehmen zog im Mai 1999 in größere
Geschäftsräume innerhalb des University of Warwick Science
Parks. Geräumigere Laboratorien und mehr Bürofläche
hatten einen Zuwachs an Mitarbeitern und eine Ausweitung der
Forschungsarbeiten zur Folge. Die sich entwickelnde Zusammenarbeit
zwischen Mitarbeitern und Universitätskollegen regte
gemeinschaftliche Forschungsprojekte mit verschiedenen Fachbereichen
der Universität an. Das Unternehmen hat eine dynamische Balance
zwischen kommerziellen und akademischen Interessen gefunden.
